Go to the Movies
Well after not going in a long, long time, we went to the movies twice this weekend. We say Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on Friday and it was great. This was my favorite book so far in the series. I really liked the movie. They did get straight to the story, so if you are not familiar with Harry Potter it might be a bit confusing. The special effects, acting, everything was just great.
On Saturday, we went to the Tech game. It was the best home game this season. Oklahoma pulled ahead with about 90 seconds to go in the game. Then Tech moved it back down the field and scored in the final 4 seconds. Out of the last 5 plays or something 3 were reviewed. The stands were just crazy, because we scored once but it was called back, but we still were able to get it in just in the nick of time. As Leach said though, if we would of scored the previous drive, maybe it wouldn't have been such a problem anyway.
That night we saw Walk The Line, the Johnny Cash movie. It was very good. I don't like Reece Witherspoon much, but this was her best performance to date. Joaquin Phoenix was an excellent Johnny Cash. He and Ms. Witherspoon played their instruments and sang, which was very impressive. It was one of the best biographical movies I have seen in some time (including Ray). Got out and see this one.
