Resident Evil 4

I finished Resident Evil 4 this weekend. It was a great game. The best in the series since the original. The graphics were great, the new aiming system was much more accurate and easy to use. The story and monsters were cool. It was all around a great game. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the survival horror genre or just a good action game. Right now it is only out on Gamecube, but it is supposed to be coming out on PS2 at some point.

One really neat feature was that if you dig in a house or building, the monsters will actually create ways to get in. During one of the first sequences, the monsters tried to get in by using ladders to get through to the second floor and by smashing the windows out and crawling in that way. It reminded me of Night of the Living Dead or something like that. It was neat because you never knew exactly where they were going to come from. Another interesting addition was movie like scenes where you had to do specific actions quickly: sprint by pressing the "A" button rapidly or cut by pressing the "B" button rapidly.

After I was done, I immediately wanted to start playing again, it was so good.

In Good Company

I saw In Good Company this afternoon and I gotta say it was a great movie. It had great performances by Topher Grace, Dennis Quaid and Scarlett Johanssen. It had a lot to say about family, the role of the provider, finding what you want in life, and corporate America. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone.

I haven't written in a while because I have been living a pretty boring life. Just hanging out at home and stuff. I began a new workout routine. I am trying to work on my endurance and speed. I have been running this last week. It has been good, I just need to keep it up. I really like running. I can clear my mind and totally just be in the moment. No worries except for breathing and keeping my feet moving.

Two Word Verdicts

Hey everyone,

Sorry it has been so long. First, the holidays came and went. Then Tish and I had our first anniversary (it is hard to believe it has already been a year). The I had my first trial ever. My client was charged with Possession, with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance between 4-200 grams. That is a first degree felony, which means it is pretty much as bad as it gets. The only thing worse than a first degree felony is capital murder (or a death penalty case). The range of punishment was 15 -99 years or life. Anyway on Monday we picked a jury and on Tuesday we tried the case. It was a pretty stressful situation. But I really exceeded my own expectations. The judge overruled everything we presented (no surprise). But yesterday afternoon after three and a half hours of deliberation the jury came back not guilty. I almost fell over.
