White Christmas?

Today we woke up to snow. Lots of snow. It is still snowing in fact. We might have a White Christmas here in Lubbock.

I know it has been a while since I have written, but I have been super busy. I have been preparing for a trial that is scheduled right after the first of the year. I started and finished my Christmas shopping last week. I think everyone will like their presents.

Because of this trial, I can't really take any time off around the holidays. Tish and I are really trying to go see my parent, but I don't know if we are gonna make it, or if we do if we can stay as long as we would like. Time will tell I guess...

Anyway, I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

Hey Rodrigo!

I was reading Daily Confession this morning when I found a confession that caught my eye. Someone confessed that they thought the beginning of Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison started "Hey Rodrigo." (Rather than "Hey where did we go") I thought it was funny, so I told Tish. Tish told me she always thought that was what it said too. I could not stop laughing.

Lubbock, Texas Ranked Number 2 in the U.S...

I was reading the December 2004 issue of Men's Health and they ranked the best and worst cities based on driving conditions in the United States. Lubbock ranked number 2 out of the largest 101 cities in the U.S. As someone who lives in Lubbock and fights the light runners and bad drivers everyday, I was left with a question. Huh?

The factors they considered were miles of roadway per 1,000 people; vehicles per freeway lane; quality of highways; commuting time; hours of delay per traveler; the country's most dangerous intersections; and the average insurance costs by state.

Apparently the grass is only greener (as far as this goes) in Lincoln, Nebraska. But who wants to live there?
