Post-Thanksgiving Recap

Thanksgiving was nice. We went down to see my family. It was a nice break from being up here in Lubbock. We got back on Friday. So we still had the rest of the weekend to relax and gear up for next week. I am still a little sick. I have been on some antibiotics and everything but I still have a little bit of a cough.

Anyway other that that not too much is going on. I just thought I needed to post a little something for all you loyal readers.

Thanksgiving Eve

I had this long elaborate list of the things I was thankful for written down and ready to post, but then the browser messed up and erased the whole post. I am thankful that tomorrow I have time to rewrite the entire thing. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

6 Days and Counting

I have been sick since Saturday. I have had a bad cough and all this congestion. It is not the most fun I have ever had. I keep thinking I am getting better, but then I don't. It is part of the reason I haven't posted lately. Please God deliver me from this cold.

I also had a really bad Tuesday. I had this big family law hearing and I kept telling my client that we would probably get his child support lowered but not lowered by the amount he wanted. He decided to proceed anyway. So after a two hour drive to the hearing in the rain (both ways) we got totally shafted. And then he got mad at me. It was the first time I had a client yell at me. I thought his step-mother was going to hit me with her umbrella. It was also the day this cough really set in.

Today was better. I was able to get a client's bond reduced by $3,500 dollars. I could have gotten it lowered even more but he didn't want to submit to the conditions. So that was cool.

I am glad tomorrow is Friday. I don't have too much to do. Tonight I can just sit back, relax and wait for the NyQuil to kick in. See you on the flip side daddio...

The Incredibles

We saw The Incredibles last night and it was well...pretty incredible. I have always liked Pixar but this was really one of their best efforts to date. It was extremely funny, great animation with a touching story. It had a lot more action than their previous movies. It was really one of the best movies I have seen this year. By far the best family film. I would highly recommend this movie. I give it an A.

What's up?

It has been a while since I have posted. Sorry, I have just been super busy. I was second chair in a trial last week which lasted until Thursday morning. We ended up getting a lesser included offense which is pretty much a victory.

I haven't had a chance to talk about the election. I was disappointed with the outcome. A lot of people voted, so I guess that is good. Hopefully George W. learned a little something from the last four years and he won't screw up as bad as the last four.

Last week we also saw Team America: World Police. It was very funny, but definitely is not for children. I thought the soundtrack was hilarious. The standout track is Freedom isn't Free. It is a country style song about freedom. It was so so funny. I would give Team America a B.

Yesterday we went to the Texas Tech game. They beat Baylor pretty bad, but our quarterback sucks. Cumbie cannot move outside the pocket and he only looks to the primary receiver rather than the other 3 or 4 who aren't in triple coverage.
